About the Author
“ Sparkling Cyanide” this marvellous book is composed by very famous crime novel writer “Agatha Chrisie”, she is known throughout the world as ‘ the queen of crime’. Her books have sold over a billion copies in English with another billion in 44 foreign languages. She is the most widely published author of all time and in any language, outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare . She is the author of 80 crime novels and short story collections, 19 plays , and six novels written under the name of Mary Westmacott . She was born in Torquay in 1890 and became ,quite simply , the best-selling novelist in history. Her enduring success , enhanced by many film and TV adaptations , is a tribute to the timeless appeal of her characters and the unequalled ingenuity of her plots. Her first novel, “The Mysterious Affair at Styles”, was written towards the end of the first world war , in which she served as a VAD. In it she created ‘Hercule Poirot’, the little Belgian detective in crime fiction since Sherlock Homes. Though she is a best novelist in general she has her speciality in mystery novels.
