About the Author
" The Guide " this beautiful fictional novel was penned down by very famous Indian novelist " Rasipuram Krishna Swami Iyer Narayanswami" . He was one of the best known novelists among Indian English writers. He is the author of fourteen novels , five volumes of short stories, and a number of travelogues and has a collection of non-fiction to h id credit. He also wrote his memoir "My Days" (1975) . Narayan was introduced to American readers in 1952 by the Michign stae university press. These includes " Swami And Friends", " The Bachelor Of Arts "(1937), " The Dark Room "(1938), " An Astrologers Day" and other stories (1947) " Mr. sampath "(1949), " The Financial Expert"(1954), " Wating For The Mahatma"(1955) and may other books.

" The Guide" this fantastic book is one of the best collection of R.K.Narayan. This book also won " The Sahitya Academy " award in 1961, the most convected literary honour in India. This book follows a story of a person name "Raju". Throughout the entire story of a person he perform roll of the guide for different people in different ways thus the title of the novel "The Guide" is very perfect. As all other stories of Narayan this story also take place in the fictional town of " Malgudi" created by the author. Through these book author also has been successful in showing the culture of Indian villages of time . In this groundbreaking book author has revealed the roller-coaster like ,life of the protagonist " Raju".The thing which make this book more beautiful is the misunderstanding of the people regarding raju that he is holy saint or an astrologer . Through this book Narayan typically portrays the pecularities of human relationships ans the ironies of Indian daily life .

I think this is very beautiful book having a story which we can relate with our nowdays life I would like to suggest all this book. Through this book your English communication skills will improve. This is a marvelous novel showing authors imaginary excellance including the reality of surrounding.
