" The Sign Of Four" one of the very famous detective novel was penned down by very famous author sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Born on 22 May 1859. He was a British writer who created the most famous detective character " Sherlock Holmes" . Originally a physician , in 1887 he published " A Study In Scarlet",the first of four novels and more than fifty short stories about Sherlock Holmes. The sherlock Holmes stories are generally considered as milestone in the feild of crime fiction . Doyle was a prolific writer ; other than Holmes stories , his work include fantasy and science fiction stories about professor challenger and humorous stories about the Napoleonic soldier Brigadier Gerard as well as plays ,romances,poetry, non fiction and historical novels.

" The Sign Of Four " is the second novel of Doyle in which Sherlock Holmes and his companion Dr. Watson solve the mystery of the hidden treasure and murder. Like all other novels of Doyle story of these book is also hair-raising and exciting. This book is filled with thrill and curiosity, it has the power to hold the readers from start to end with same excitement . This novel is very beautiful example of author's writing chops, his imagination and his ability to weave together uplifting , thrill, mystery, betrayal , love and some plotliness. Story of this novel starts at Holmes house with arrival of a beautiful younge lady , who has a case for Sherlock Holmes to solve and then story impressively proceeds with Holmes detection work . Basically this novel revolves around the precious and very rare " Agra Treasure" . Throughout the story the appearance of the treasure leads to a direct and often tragic change in the lives of the characters. Author also give some values to his readers through this novel like greediness can brought the shallowness of wealth and destruction of relation and disturbance in life. This groundbreaking novel ends with beautiful romantic conflict.
Language of the Book and Writing Style
Author have used very straightforward ,simple and clear language while composing this detective novel. Occasionally official language have also used according to need of the content . As story keeps roaming from past to present and present to past the author has clearly separated the content chapterwise. These novel include total 142 pages.
My Opinion About the Book
I like this novel very much as it includes murder, mystery and love. This is very beautiful book showing authors imaginary excellance.I would like to suggest all 13+ people to read this book. Through this book readers can understand greediness is a bad thing.
